Nicole Chimezie '24 navigated her path in economics and business with strategy and hard work. Now as a full-time CADP analyst at JPMorganChase, Chimezie is learning to work across all lines of business and harness control of her career path.

鈥溍厶掖�媒 gave me the ability to take control of my own goals and my own aspirations,鈥� said Chimezie. 鈥淭o figure out what I wanted and help me make clear goals.鈥�

During college Chimezie was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority, served as the financial controller and vice president of the Student Government Association, was part the Brown Advisory Student Managed Investment Fund, treasurer of the Black Student Union, president of the 100% Triumph christian organization and founded ShoreFit, a safe space for women in athletic centers. She also traveld to Cuba as part of the Business Department's Cuba Experience program.

While Chimezie is proud of the roles she held at college, she sees now that it would have been helpful to strike a better balance. These days she strives to take the advice she has for younger self. 鈥淚'd tell myself to just relax a little bit,鈥� said Chimezie. 鈥淚t's OK to just be a participant.鈥�

This is serving her well in the two year rotational program at work, where each participant spends eight months in each rotation. Chimezie's current rotation includes working on a product governance team, as well as working with stakeholders to create an end-to-end automation platform.

鈥淩ight now, I'm working in the corporate investment bank, and I'm thinking about going into asset and wealth management,鈥� said Chimezie. 鈥淣obody's going create a path for you. You have to network and get out there and figure out what teams exist and what you want to do and how you want to do it, then you have the support of the entire team to get you there. 蜜桃传媒 empowered me to make my own decisions and gave me the confidence to know I can make my dreams happen.鈥�
