Giving at ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½

Contributions help provide scholarships, enhance academic programs, and ensure that our faculty have the resources they need to inspire and lead. Your generosity creates an environment where learning, creativity, and growth can thrive.

Promote then as an object of primary importance, Institutions for the general diffusion of knowledge. In proportion as the structure of a government gives force to public opinion, it is essential that public opinion should be enlightened.

$15 Million Gift to create the Warehime School of Global Business, Economics, and Social Impact

“My own experience at ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ was incredibly interdisciplinary, and I can't wait for others to have an even better experience within the Warehime School. This business school will give ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ a ‘big school' offering while maintaining the interdisciplinary theme and experience that comes with a small liberal arts institution.â€

Make Your Mark!

Your gift can empower civic and community engagement initiatives of students and faculty, upgrade facilities, and help students take advantage of opportunities like internships or study abroad that would otherwise be out of reach for them. If you're ready to give now, check out our Ways to Give to figure out the best way to do it. You can support whatever aspect of Washington College speaks to you, from athletics to academics, but if you are open to funding Washington's greatest needs at this time, as an institution, certain projects have been identified as areas to focus on now:

Current Priorities

The Washington Fund

The Washington Fund proves there is strength in numbers; gifts of every size add up to make a significant impact on students, faculty, and staff. That's because the fund supports the College's most urgent needs, the things little and large that add up to define our character and drive our mission. Things like...

  • Scholarships that enable students with limited means to realize their dreams
  • Learning opportunities outside the classroom
  • Improvements to the residence halls our students call home
  • Athletics equipment that help teams succeed
  • Professional support of our dedicated faculty

Other Current Priorities

This new school will provide a unique business education by leveraging expertise and research in interdisciplinary partnerships, the liberal arts, the global nature of business, and social impacts. The school will foster collaborations between the College's business management, economics, world languages and cultures, and international studies programs.

Set to open in the spring of 2028, the Warehime School will stand at the main entrance to campus off Washington Ave, where the Quad dorms once were. This new building is being funded through the generosity of Beth Warehime Rizakos ’13, who graduated with a business management major.  Program planning and building design is ongoing.

Fundraising continues for the operations of the school itself, with opportunities to establish eight endowed chairs and support competitive scholarships, curricular innovation grants for faculty, an annual international conference, global student experiences for each Warehime School graduate, and more.
